HISTORY
The Apple Valley Inn was once a hotel and restaurant established in Apple Valley, California. Developer Newton T. Bass and partner Bernard "Bud" Westlund owned Apple Valley Rancho's Land Development Co.
The Apple Valley Inn opened November 25th, 1948 on Thanksgiving day. This amazing landmark is a prominent feature in the history of Apple Valley.
The inn was a popular vacation destination for Hollywood celebrities during the 1940's-1960's. Frequent visitors included celebrity icons like Bob Hope, Marilyn Monroe, John Wayne, Richard Nixon, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans.
After many successful years, the Inn unfortunately closed to the public in 1987. It was purchased by a privately owned company in November 2003.
The Historic Apple Valley Inn is receiving on-going renovations as well as preserving the unique history this landmark has to offer.
